She Says Electric is a four piece (modern rock/pop) band made up of driven and dedicated individuals that love to perform original music. Love Bomb believes in a "work hard, play hard" philosophy.
They are in the process of mixing their debut album "Remember Me" right now.
Band/artist history
The three original members of She Says Electric "formerly Love Bomb"(Derek, Ken and Connie) were the main part of the original line up of heatherclarkband, they recorded four albums ,one of which, "Selah", sold well over ten thousand copies. When hcb ended in December of 2000, four members (Connie, Ken, Derek and Vern) continued to play and write music together and formed officaly in July 2001. Having played together in various projects during the previous ten years, these musicians began to develop a time-evolved chemistry. In December 2001, the band recorded their 5 song EP,"Limited Radio Release", and established regular air-play on 98.3 CIFM, the local Kamloops radio station.
Despite their growing momentum, during the spring of 2002, Vern announced that he was retiring from the band, leaving the band with a vacancy in the bass department. Consequently, they felt it necessary to relocate in order to replace him.
In June 2002, She Says Electric moved permanently to Surrey, BC. Not long after they arrived they were pleased to have Matt, a talented bassist with a dynamic and energetic style, join the team. With renewed vigor and a more aggressive sound, the band has continued to nurture their new identity, crafting songs, playing hard and recording thier work as they go.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
We love to play live and do so as often as we can. Most of our gigs are in Vancouver and Langley BC, but we do plan to tour abroad. If any one would like to know how to bring us to their town just email us at booking@lovebomb.ca
Your musical influences
She Says Electric is currently mixing their debut CD "Remember Me". This diverse album is a scrapbook of their spiritual and emotional experiences as musicians, as artists, and as individuals. Although She Says Electric does not sound like any other band, they are reminiscent of The Cranberries, U2, Pink Floyd, and The Beatles all rolled into one, with an emphasis on intense emotional drive.
What equipment do you use?
-Ken plays Tama drums with Sabian cymbals and Pro Mark sticks
-Connie plays Rickenbacher and Vantage guitars through a Fender Capricorn amp, Electroharmonix, Boss and Danelectro pedals,D'addario stings and Jim Dunlop .46 picks
-Matt plays Warwick, Yamaha and Fender basses trhough a Gailen Kruger head with an Ampeg cab, with Ernie Ball strings (which he breaks often)
-Derek plays a Vantage guitar with a Roland Gk pickup through a vg8, a Gr30 he runs his analog chain through
Morley chorus,Electroharmonix Microsynth, Boss delay and Marshall distortion and tremolo,Jim Dunlop Crybaby and then mixes it all together with an m80 8channel mixer then into his VT Twin 60 combo amp. Derek uses D'addario 11-52 strings "with a 13 in the high e slot instead of a 11" and Jim Dunlop Herco flex 50 picks
Anything else?
I apoligize for not having any great recordings to offer you at this time, as The "Limited Radio Release" recordings we have were recorded by a good friend in Kamloops over a two day period on a 16 track reel to reel "only 12 worked" and the others are a sneak peek of songs we are working on for the new album. They are neither a final mix nor are they mastered.
