Lori Anderson
Lori Anderson loves the blues and Jazz so she has taken her love of country music and mixed the three genres to bring you an awesome mix for the country blues fans with her debut album "GoodBye Town"
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
As Lori Andersons uncle stepped out the back door he was surprised to hear 7-year-old Lori in the back yard singing her heart out. It wasnt the typical voice of a young girl as she actually sang with the power and talent of a seasoned older singer. She has been amazing her audiences ever since. She began holding monthly talent shows in her neighborhood enlisting all the kids to perform. It became a neighborhood tradition for many years to follow.
Eventually this little talent show would become a thriving business for Lori. She started a nonprofit fundraising organization at age 16 putting on free concerts for childrens charities. She was president and founder of the organization for the next 19 years.
Lori sang when ever and where ever the opportunity would arise; fairs, fundraisers, and talent shows -- one of which took her to the state finals in her home state of Indiana. When she was old enough to start the club circuit she performed with house bands in Indiana, Kentucky, and Tennessee. Traveling and playing in bars, night clubs, and honky tonks finally lead Lori to Nashville TN where she met independent producer Dick McVey in 1991.
Lori was at a crossroad in her life torn between a dream and raising a family. Needless to say, Loris good-hearted nature led her back home to raise a family. She continued singing locally for the next several years doing concerts and performing at every opportunity. She also continued her work with her charitable organization.
Lori has returned to Nashville continued to work with dick McVey, She has completed her debut album Goodbye Town she has already had 5 of the 10 tracks aired nationwide on radio as well as on England and Australia country music radio. Lori was a special guest on the popular syndicated Conman Radio Show in Nov 2006. Performed 2 songs live in the studio and he gave 2 more songs from the project spin during the hr long Interview. On Nov 25th 2006 Lori performed in her hometown to a sold out Crowd in the Bedford Indiana Convention Center with a full celebrity band backing her including on loan from Mr. Tim McGraw, one Billy Thunder Mason on Drums. Lori will be going on tour in the July 2007 in conjunction with the Conman Radio show she will tour 130 cities nation wide .Cities where The Conman Radio show is aired and the Cities where radio stations have graced us with Lori Andersons music. Lori's tour will lead her back to Nashville for her showcase and with luck determination and hard work this will be a turning point in her career.
Lori's success comes from her positive attitude, outgoing personality, electrifying talent, and, most of all, determination. Her beauty, charm, honesty and professionalism are but a few of her assets. It is apparent why those who meet her are instant fans. Lori's talent and personality on and off stage guarantee her to be a popular attraction wherever she goes and an absolute asset in todays world of country music.
Although the road has been long and hard, Lori feels she has grown in her talent and as a human being. She has gained extensive knowledge that help make her a better performer and an influential talent in country music. She has no regrets in the twists and turns she has faced throughout this journey and hopes to use every road she has traveled as a lesson learned as she keeps on keeping on.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Lori has been singing since age 7 started singing in clubs and lodges at age 12 and has traveled the southern united states since 1991 making music when ever and wherever she could. She will be going on a nation wide radio tour beginning July 23rd 2007
Your musical influences
if you like blues or jazz or country Lori Anderson has the album for you! Her vdebut album titled "GoodBye Town mixes all three genres and leaves people wanting more! She grew up listening to traditional country like Conway Twitty Tammy Wynette Barbra mandrell and Dolly Parton. But it was ELVIS that made Lori want to be a star and she took malittle bit of what she learned from all her favorite artist and created her own style!

This CD is sooo cool- lots of different styles, with one GREAT vocalist! Love your version of "Standing on the Edge of Goodbye" and "Coffee's on the Table", both written by two Louisiana natives. A must have for your CD collection!
