Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Once known as 'The Bumpus Hounds' the band has undergone a facelift and come to terms with its true roots...Jammin Out....Loomis was born.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We're basically on hiatus but if there is demand we will get back together for more recordings, shows, north american tours, whatever.
Your musical influences
Of course Loomis defies any one catagory of music but influences from Bebop Jazz like Miles Davis, Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock and John Coltrane. Rock influences from Frank Zappa, Medeski Martin and Wood, The Grateful Dead, Phish, early Steely Dan, and the Allman Brothers.

What equipment do you use?
Zack plays Mapex Drums and Sabian Cymbals and a host of other gear. Ben uses Sony Keyboards, Boss foot pedals and a Fender 4x12 Tube amp. Dan plays a Gibson Blueshawk and a Les Paul (not simultaneously, sorry) a Marshall 8280 amp, a Zoom 3000 processor, Electro-Harmonix envelope filter, and a Dunlop Crybaby.
