Lookin
Lookin is a three piece rock outfit hailing from sunny Manchester comprised of Christian D’Acuna (vocals and guitar), Theo Bowers (vocals and bass) and Matt Evans (drums).
In January 2001, Lookin was born and nurtured in Matt’s bedroom. Since then the band has been developing their raw and edgy rock/pop sound with influences such as Muse, Idlewild, Greenday and Rage Against the Machine, thus proving Lookin are true exponents of a sound ideal for today’s rock fans.
“There is something special about the youth and talent of the three members of this band.” manchestermusic.co.uk
The trio developed a solid fan-base in their home town by gigging in Local venues around Cheshire, playing packed out venues to screaming audiences. The band then progressed with powerful live performances and extended their fan-base by playing around the North West in well respected venues such as The Roadhouse in Manchester and The Barfly in Sheffield which gave them a high profile support slot under The Icarus Line. This earned Lookin a place amongst the cream of Manchester’s un-signed bands.
Whilst consistent gigging took place, the band recorded their new demo, “The Dividing Tastes EP” and embarked on the Dividing Tastes tour in Autumn 2003. The tour stopped in key cities around the UK including London where they played “Upstairs @ the Garage.” This gig was one of the best Lookin gigs to date, and the band succeeded in winning over the crowd, thus gaining a fan-base in London.
The Lookin boys are now in the process of recording a demo which will contain the band’s new and powerful material. After the demo is finished, the Band will be embarking on a tour throughout the UK in order to gain national exposure and hopefully to attract record label interest.
