Formed in March 2004 in Dublin, Ireland, Long Lost Brother have quickly gelled into an intriguing mix of musical styles and ideas. Steve Melling plays bass. John Quirke plays guitars, melodica, Roland 202 synth, banjo and also sings(!) Mr. Conor O’Hara plays the drums. Mike Glennon, as well as dealing with singing and guitars, plays harmonica and (occasionally) sitar. The resulting sound is something both intriguing and accessible, refusing to stay put in any one category long enough for it to be easily labelled. Take influences from punk, country, electronica, dance, glam, rock, Dylan, Young, the Ramones, piece them together and you’re getting there.

Within months of forming the band were invited to play some of Irelands’ premier showcase events including the Hard Working Class Heroes festival in Dublin and the IMRO showcase tour.
In March 2005 the band independently released their debut single. The single received national and regional airplay in Ireland and also attracted interest from Dublin and London based industry execs. The band toured nationally to support the release winning fans and friends as they travelled.
Long Lost Brother are currently in the studio working on their second release (an EP or possibly a mini album). The band will be returning to live duties in early June and expect to play a series of dates around Ireland as well as further afield.
