Lone Gunmen Records
Lone Gunmen Records is an independent record label based in Bucks County, Pennsylvania (just outside of Philadelphia). Our plan is to promote original bands in the Philadelphia area by promoting shows, releasing compilation albums, and selling merchandise whilte trying to overcome the tyranny of non-creative, conformist cover bands that dominate the area. By using the theory of strength in numbers, we will develop a storng enough presence that original bands in this area will not be able to be brushed aside.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
The original idea for LGR was thought up by president and founder Greg Karpuk in December 1996, but was shelved for several years due to lack of funds. The idea was resurrected in February 2003 when Falling Out was finishing up the recording of their album Shelter. The band didn't have money to put the album out, so Greg stepped in and offered to put up the money to release the album, and then figured it was a great time to actually bring LGR to life, with the help of Falling Out members Mike Resetar and Bill Mullen.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
