The Lolas are a power pop band. Think the early Who singles, Hollies, Byrds, Move. There is also the influence of psychedelia like 13th Floor Elevators, garage rock like Blues Magoos, UK mod bands Like The Mickey Finn and Small Faces, american r'n'b / soul music, and great pop stuff like Kinks, Beatles, Beach Boys....What equipment do you use?
