Yo stuff is strait....it sounds like ur using fruityloops and reminds me when i started a couple of years ago. All u need is to put some new wav files in fruityloops or whatever u use so u can have better samples to work with. All i use is fruityloops right now, but u might not be able to tell by the beatz. ..Hit me up...i can give more tips even though im still beginning. If u use Fl studio what version do u have?
