He was introduced to hip-hop by his cousin Duice. Since that day he has been a huge fan. From the first time he picked up a pad and pen, Lo-Cal knew hip-hop was his passion and hasnt looked back since. He released his first EP December 2003 entitled K-OTIC Entertainment Presents: lo-cal and has caught the attention of listeners all over the nation. He has performed at Local 506 in Chapel Hill and opened for Talib Kweli at the Neighborhood Theater in Charlotte, North Carolina. "Lo-Cal" also opened for the 2nd and 3rd Annual Comedy Showcase in front of a sell out crowd. Performed at the National Black Arts Festival @ The Underground Mall in Atlanta, Ga, The Showcase of the South, Rialto Theatre Atlanta,GA, performed @ the ATRIUM, The Royal Peacock.
