2000- Ryan Goes to study Recording Arts at Fanshawe College in London ON.
-Learns how to produce Digital Music using various method, programs and gear.
-Plays Bass in Hardcore Punk Band called Snuff Squad.
2002-Moves back home to find a job and continues to recording music.
-Finds a job in Sound Editing and Sound Post production and gathers tones of Dialogue and sound Samples. Slowly building a Sound library.
2003-Goes back to school for the Post Grad for Recording Arts. Focusing on Sound Post Production for film and television
2004 to Current -Currently an Audio Video Technician for live sound and video shows, he does freelancing on the side. Ryan is also participating in sound editing and sound design and music production for film projects at home.Your musical influences
Distortion, SoundFX, my samples, random licks I play while I talk on the phone, life experiances , cheezie synth sounds. As for musicians.... Tool, Beck, , beasties, Aphex Twin, PunkRock, Radiohead, The Cardigians, Floyd and Sigur Ros, Nirvana.What equipment do you use?
To make Music I use mostly Reason 4.0, Nuendo and Adobe Audition 3.0. I tend to use MPC4000 and Motif 6 Drum Samples and weird sounds I've collected and created over time. I manipulate my samples in Audition, bring them into Reason and then bounce each individual channel out of Reason. I then remix in Nuendo. In Nuendo I EQ, add Reverbs etc, and continue manipulating till my hearts content. I am using a Power PC with 2 gig Ram an evolution controller, and an SM58, and the left side of headphones from the 70's for mics. I monitor with a pair of Yorkville YSMP1p 6.5 woffer and 1 inch tweeter Powered MonitorsAnything else?
