Lobotomy
Lobotomy's current lineup was formed in late 2004 but the band has been around since late 2003. Members include drummer Adam, guitarist Brandon, vocalist Poe and bassist Levi.
Grinding, flesh ripping guitar riffs.
Thunderous, pounding drums.
Earth shattering bass.
Viscious, intense vocals.
This band is a destructive combination of insanity, honesty, heaviness, emotion, aggression, brutality and sincerity. Lobotomy falls into the category of heavy metal, but aren't out to particularly sound like anyone. We are just a band that loves the more aggressive side of music and we just create what comes natural to us. This band insists on doing our own thing, and are not doing certain things just because it will get us attention/recognition/noteriety/etc...FUCK THAT! This band does what it does because its what we want to do.
Band/artist history
The band was formed late 2003 with original members Adam Lidy (drums), Brandon Poe (guitar/keyboards), Susan Ruholl (bass) and Justin Bannick (vocals). However before the band could even play a note together, Justin was forced to depart due to personal reasons.
Alan Poe (previously from Nine Circles) was then brought in to take over the vocalist position. After a few weeks of jamming together, adversity reared its ugly head again and Susan was forced to leave the band.
The remaining three members developed several song prototypes. They decided to bring in former Nine Circles guitarist Levi Hollinshead to play guitar, and Brandon moved to bass. After about a month however, Levi wasn't working out as expected and he was forced to leave as well.
After that, Adam, Brandon and Alan decided to just carry on as a trio for several months without a bass player, thus Brandon moved back to guitar. They made their performing debut July 16 of 2004.
They came to the conclusion to attempt to recruit another bass player. They approached Josh Moffitt wondering if he would be interested. Indeed he was. He was brought in August of 2004 and remained in the band until October.
It was soon decided that it was in the best interest of Lobotomy if Josh was released. After his release, Levi Hollinshead was then brought back to cover the bass position.
So through the storms of adversity, Lobotomy still carries on as the force they established themselves as nearly a year ago, creating music that is heavy and from the heart.
