LIVING WATER PROJECTS
We are LIVING WATER PROJECTS and our current project is throatsinging.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
It all started in 1997 when Henk van Bouwel and Robert , met in '96.
They felt they could play together nicely and started playing on the street and they became quickly known..as a live jukebox !
They did covers as well as their own stuff,and Robert on guitar and Henk on his Sopranosax,using guitars sometimes too.
They became know in Antwerp as a band of 2 guys , sometimes with an extra ladysinger , playing in roughly about 50 places in a year.
We also made 2 CD's in that time
1 ) Introducing Living Water '98
With a mixture of covers and own material
and some pre-versions of the
Stormy Blue-CD
2 ) Stormy Blue Water '99
Then later Robert went solo and found Lucce Waegeman and they went in the studio to record "the human didge" album which is still available now.
Robert developed the so-called throatsinging like they do in TUVA Mongolia , using it in their own unique way,the Cd is like a trip throughout the world , on a bed of voices with nice songs...Then they presented their Cd's on their live shows and Robert toured with Starfighter and Das Pop as a guest star.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We play live wherever they contract us, and when we are free from other obligations.
Your musical influences
David Bowie,Brian Eno,Pink Floyd,and lots of more nice music from the 60's -80's.
What equipment do you use?
We usely play accoustic, on a big stage,we play with amplification
