Living Better Electrically
Living Better Electrically is a quintessential rock quintet. It is edgy pop music exploring the influences of 60's brit psychedelia and 70's glam filtered through modern love and southern exaggeration. There are layered melodies, hook-laden choruses, hip harmonic and rhythmic ideas. Irreverant, but not alienating. Subtly familiar and refreshingly new. Turning on audiences around the southeast since 2000, LBE is currently working on its first long player at Sweet Tea Studio in Oxford, MS.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
We started as a five piece, went down to a quartet, and are currently rocking the quintet once again.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We currently play shows in MS, LA, TN and TX. The first gig in a new town is the most important gig we ever play.
Your musical influences
We are inspired by the restless and misguided lives, stacks of unpaid bills lying in sinks, the love, the loss, great architecture and design, the absurd and the vulgar, sweat, blistered fingers and minds, lacking bath and time to pray, sunsets, and of course the great rock and roll forefathers/mothers.
What equipment do you use?
Whatever's lying around.
