Live On Wax Productions is a multi-talented production company that specializes in making the highest quality of products whether it be hiphop, r&b, soul, jazz or rock. Also look out for Live On Stage, a production company specializing in performance for artists that use the best musicians around.
Started by Marc Baldwin, a musician/producer/teacher, Live On Wax has produced or performed with everyone from Sony Records, Virgin Records, the Atlanta Hawks, Atlanta Braves, Phife of A Tribe Called Quest, FOX Sports, Purple Ribbon Records and EA Games to name a few.
Currently L.O.W. is working with his live hiphop band AFAR (www.afarmusic.com), and the hiphop duo DnS and their new release G.U.M. (Grown Up Music).
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I mainly play guitar but also dabble with the bass guitar, keyboards and drums. I play and perform all over in the styles of jazz, funk, r&b, rock and hiphop. I love it!
Your musical influences
My sound has a many influences from George Clinton, Miles Davis, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Al Green to Dr. Dre, Rick Rubin, Brenden O'Brien, Soundgarden, Outkast and John McGlaughlin.
What equipment do you use?
Live On Wax Production uses ASR-10, MPC's, Mac G4, Protools, live guitars, basses, horns, keys, and strings.
