Liquid Violence
LV is a groove metal band
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Liquid Violence is a very aggressive brand of old school "Power Thrash", with a bit of today's industrial edge. Their origin lies in the Buffalo, NY area and have had positive reviews from such publications as the CMJ weekly (June 1st, VOL 54 / 1998), Severed Pages, "Audio Aggression" 88.9 WNYO, D-Day Records, Adrenalinezine, and were also picked as one of 25 bands to be part of the twenty-fifth anniversary for HighTimes (#20). They were also picked as a finalist in the Sennheiser song contest, with a grandprize of going to Germany to perform at the World's Fair. LV have currently released their second full length release Smokin Still, already having a self titled six song E.P. that has over 2500 copies in circulation. LV is also featured on two compilation albums entitled "From The Underground vol 1" and "From The Underground vol 2" which were released by R.U.T. Records and over 4000 copies are in circulation. All c.d.'s are being distributed through CD Street, Lindy Records, Snakenet Metal Radio, R.U.T. Records, and on LV's website: http://liquidvilence.com. The band line-up is as follows: J. / Vocals and Lyrics, Bailey / Guitar, Dr.Morbid / Bass, and Bess / Drums. LV was formed in early 1990 with the hunger to make music and play shows in support of their future albums. They have played shows all over Western New York, including Rochester, S. Ontario, Pennsylvania, Missouri, Ohio, Metal Meltdown #3 in New Jersey, Milwaukee Metalfest #15, and Metal Meltdown #4 in New Jersey. The self titled E.P. and Smokin Still are being played on radio stations in Arizona, Illinois, Maine, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Florida, New York, Nova Scotia in Canada, Belarus in Europe, Obregon in Mexico and on six different internet radio stations. LV also books and promotes most of their own shows which include local and regional acts. In addition to self promotion, LV is also working with Talent 2000, a talent agency out of Chicago. With the experience they have obtained over the years, they plan on booking and promoting future albums and tours.
