Rhythmically engaging and melodically provocative, Liquid Jane combines lyrical sophistication with edgy grooves, producing an eclectic body of work whose roots take hold deep in the dark soil of rock n roll. A versatile trio fusing punk rock sensibilities with a millennial twist, LJ seeks to push the parameters of music through fearless expression rife with fevered emotion.
Band/artist history
Sown in August 2001 by Chad Rialp and Benito Gonzalez, Liquid Jane had germinated into an acoustic duo. The band grafted on percussionist David Esteban early the next year, making the transition to power trio status in the middle of 2002. For close to four years, the band has discreetly basked in the scene, sharing top soil with notable local talents like Sound, Sun Down Muse, Coffee Shop Conspiracies, The Blue Jean Junkies, 3rd World Project, Session Road, Twisted Halo, and many others.
In May 2004, LJ launched their first crop in EP form with newcomer Ken Navarroza filling the drum seat. Recorded live at the Eggroom Studios in Parañaque, the EP features four incendiary tracks of dark funk. By mid-2005, the band completed its line up by adding keyboardist Erwin Fajardo.
LJ has just completed their debut album "Newspaper, Bottle" - a full-length effort featuring the cross-pollination of the Manila scene's premier music personnel.

Let your music float downriver, through streams and estuaries, out to sea.
nice! :)
Hello,
My name is Nathaniel Savella Ramirez, an American of Philippine Ancestry. I am glad to find a lot of bands from the Philippines on Soundclick. Been here for quiet awhile, I am one of the MP3.com refugees. Keep up the good work and always be true to yourself.
