Liquid Cloud 9
Liquid Cloud 9 is a 4 piece hard driving rock band from the Phila., Pa area. Originally formed in 1997 (Co-founders Dave Mantovani, Todd Rothstein, and Dave Versano) it wasn't until 99 that LC9's style began to take shape. Over the past 3years LC9 has crafted it's own unique blend of heavy metal head banging riff and melodic passages delivered with an intensity that is both heart pounding and heart warming. The musical rollercoaster (so we like to call it) has become the trademark for many LC9 songs and it is as exciting as it is unexpected. One minute hard and in your face then down to a mellow pace. Lyrically LC9 takes the trials and tribulations of every day life and puts it to the music.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
History of LC9 goes this way. Three of the members (Dave Mont, Dave Loots, and Todd) have been jamming together since 94, originally known as the Shadyz. The band then band played a mix mosh of original music but, never really established a unified sound. In 97 they reformed with 2 new members. That is when Liquid Cloud 9 was originated. At this point in LC9 history they played a unique blend of music and released a CD named LC9. We labled our sound as "Hardcore Funky Blues". Making a name for ourselves we played constantly for 2 full years all over the Tri Sate area of PA, NJ, and DE. In the summer of 99 LC9 replaced it's drummer and singer to become the hard driving rock band they are known for now.

Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Yes... All over Philly, PA and anywhere that wants some hard rockin tunes... WE LIVE FOR PLAYING!!! Picking up our instruments to play our own music in front of crowds of people.
