Lindy's Kitchen, in it's present form has been together since February of 1998. However, Previous forms of LK have been rumored to be seen since as early as 1994. Lindy's Kitchen began working the St. Mary's College music circuit, playing festivals, parties, and such just to have good time. They had some fans, they a had a couple of great tunes, but something was missing. Whenthe members of LK graduated from St. Mary's, The band decided to call it quits. Then guitarist Mike Lickiss, began working on a solo project, recorded songs on a 4 track recorder. Mike, once finished with the tape, handed it out to family. Long time friend, Matt Gilroy, played the tape to recent U.C. Santa Barbara graduate Andy Drake. Andy, blown away by what he heard from the tape. Decided to give Mike a call and see what his plans were. Mike was interested in starting the Kitchen up again. Guitarist Chris Carter and Drummer Ryan Sutherland were more than eager to begin playing again. Lindy's Kitchen was reborn. With a new purpose and a different goal. Lindy's Kitchen wants to make a difference in the music scene, now. They recorded a Full length CD in late 98, early 99 at Microdot Studios in Oakland, Ca. Lindy's Kitchen has been juggling crazy work schedules and is currently recording another full length CD due out by halloween. Lindy's Kitchen is hard working band with a very small band ego.Have you performed in front of an audience?Yes, we love to play live, especially at festivals and outdoor events.
