Limited Sight Distance

Limited Sight Distance is a versatile contemporary rock band. Our original music varies in style from funk/jazz to bouncy modern rock to layered Beatle-like harmonies. At times, the vibe can switch to a pop rock feel, or even old-fashioned instrumental rock and roll.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Limited Sight Distance was formed in early 2002 in the town of Boyne City, Michigan. Prior to this, the three members had a short stint playing for a local heavy metal band. It was in this group that schoolmates Scott Mariner(percussion) and Kevin Paul(guitar/vocals) met bassist Eric Jaqua. Growing tired of the same old metal grind, the three decided to get together and jam on a few songs they had been working on separately. The group clicked and Limited Sight Distance was formed.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Limited Sight Distance have played several local live performances, but hope to expand their venues with the material released on their debut EP "Only the Strong Survive".
Your musical influences
The Beatles, Stone Temple Pilots, Led Zeppelin, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Creed, Elton John, Phish, Jimi Hendrix, Primus---Just to name a few. All three members share an appreciation for music that ranges from Mozart to Def Leppard and Faith No More.
