lily white boys has always been about creating a rich sonic landscape with both synthetic and acoustic elements, deconstructing them electronically, and finding a way to combine them all back together into a musical pop package.
after a seven year break, lily white boys are finally back in the studio - with a lot more toys to play with this time. the new tracks have a modern edge but still have our original synth sensibilities. check back for these new songs soon. thanks to all our long-time fans and our new ones here at sound click for all your ongoing support.

lily white boys are: donE vee shahroboBand/artist history
donE vee and shahrobo met in 1987 at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. while electronic synth music was wildly popular abroad and in larger US cities, the southeast US was not ready to give up southern rock-n-roll for electronic blips and beats.
despite the fact that lily white boys never gave in to the pressure to cover "Freebird", the electronic concept did catch on, and a cult following grew attending their performances at venues across campus and, later, alternative music clubs and events across the state.
today, lily white boys concentrates on composing new music and studio performances. new wave has become old wave and retro has become modern, and musical styles will continue to evolve. the band believes there is always room to create new music if you are willing to sound a bit different from everyone else.Have you performed in front of an audience?lily white boys has not played live in a number of years because we're living in different cities. however, we've always had fun playing live although it can be nerve wracking as an electronic band using technology that is sometimes reliable and sometimes not. still there is something amazing about playing live and hearing the audience singing your songs along with you.
Your musical influences
lwb has always been inspired by electronic sound. if you like bands such as The Cure, New Order, Depeche Mode, Thompson Twins, Talk Talk, Psychedelic Furs, Squeeze, Red Flag, XTC, Oingo Boingo, Pet Shop Boys, The Smiths, or Tears for Fears, then you will likely enjoy our music. What equipment do you use?
Kurzweil, Korg, EMU, Oberheim, Roland, Kawai, Alesis, Ensoniq, Yamaha, dbx, Tascam, Digidesign, Steinberg, Propellerheads, and of course, Indian Valley.Anything else?
