For two decades Libertad America's music has intoxicated universitary audiences around the region of the Mexican north. Wedded in traditional Latin American roots and playing acoustical winds, strings and percussion instruments.
Libertad America's interpretations are a treasure for the human spirit. Their mellifluous synthesis of instrumentals and vocals captures sacred places, people's carnivals, daily lives, loves and pains that weave an extraordinary cultural mural.
Band/artist history
Known for their open-minded musical approach, they had a much different mission in mind when they met in the late 70's in the Universities of Ciudad Juárez - to become professionals. Walking for the life ways, their love of music encouraged their restless souls to explore the poplar culture of Latin America.
In some of the history, purest and most cultural manifestations they discovered the sublime of popular music and in a sense their roots. Libertad America's music became Latin America's vivid link between pueblo and people, transmuted in Canto Nuevo.
Since 1979, they have appeared on regional stages with other local musicians as in national festivals. Libertad America had been in a large rest of 10 years. Now 20 years later they have united their individual talents in order to fellow their impulses to trap the music and rimes in their soulds.
