Just me and my guitar, some acoustic, some electric. If you like it please let me know. Also welcome critiques.Band/artist history
I was born at a young age. On the wonderful Westside of Chicago, Illinois, USA. My father put stringed instruments into my hands and showed me I-IV-V when I was a very little kid. My mother tolerated my Jimmy Reed and Lightning Hopkins and Holwing Wolf and Muddy Waters and Bill Broonzy records reverbrating thru the apartment. All that was preparation and learning to become the blues singer and player that I am. No matter who all doesn't like my sound, yet and still I am a blues singer. I like and do church songs too.Your musical influences
Lightning Hopkins, John Lee Hooker, Jimmy Reed, Wille McTell, Roebuck Staples, Odetta, Magic Sam, Homesick James, Jimmy Driftwood, Howling Wolf, Floyd Jones, Memphis Minnie, Guitar Slim Green, Lonesome Sundown, oh, I cannot type in them all.
Bottom line, urbanized country blues. or maybe not so urbanized. What equipment do you use?
Guitars, mikes, tape recorders, amps, capos, PC software to convert .wav to mp3,Anything else?
Well, they said ANYTHING goes in this space, so I choose to use it by saying the following: Did you know that our Creator, Jesus, while being God yet became a human so as to take upon Himself the punishment for all our sins so that we can live forever instead of dying forever? Check it out! Jesus said of Himself, "I am the way, the truth, and the life".Formidable!!!!
You are a great magic man... As Lightnin' Brown wrote you are an authentic muiscally man! The power of soul is so great for the Blues and you reaaly got it!!!
It is a real pleasure to read you at bluesland in France ( Au Pays du Blues). Bravissimo again!Hi Les,
first up I'd like to say that I enjoyed your songs a great deal.
You have a great rythmic vibe that rollick's along like the old blues legends.
Very authentic.
Also, thankyou for the wonderful comments on Rollin & Tumblin.
I appreciate it muchly!
