Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
LiQuid Metamorphosis (formerly Leedsquietman/LQM) has been in existence as a musical project since the spring of 2006. The debut album 'Searching For Esperanto' was released in March 2008. The video for the track 'Intervention' was published in January 2008, the debut video for LiQuid Metamorphosis as seen here at Soundclick.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Not now, yes in the past. Liked it but prefer home recording. I would like to perform live again in the future though, if the opportunities were right.
Your musical influences
The Smiths, Pet Shop Boys, Suede, New Order, The Beatles, Crowded House, The Cure, The Police, 808 state - pop, ambient, rock, blues, trip-hop, guitars, synths, The Doors, The Charlatans, Chemical Brothers.
What equipment do you use?
LQM uses the following production tools ... Hardware - Dell Inspiron 9100 laptop, Echo Indigo IO pcmcia card, Shure SM57 and 58 mics, Yamaha guitars and amps, Zoom G1 multi fx, Boss pedals, Casio CTK541, MOTU Fastlane MIDI interface, Alesis IO14 Firewire Audio Interface.
Software - I mostly compose and record in Ableton Live 7 Suite, sometimes I finish projects or mix with Steinberg Cubase SX3 and mix finalize/master with various plugins in Sony Soundforge 8 and CD Architect 5,
