Lebzul

Lebzul is a Dark Ambient project. In the scene since late '95. There are 6 full releases up to date and new ones are being created all the time.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Lebzul was born in 1996 as a way to express feelings through music, just plain Atmospheric/Ambient music, somehow mainly inspired by the fisrt works of Shadowcaster, some Death/Black Metal intros/outros and a little bit of Dead Can Dance's emotional approach. Now Lebzul has gone beyond into the darker realms of the musical spectrum... It took me sometime to put all my ideas together and to find the means to do this all by myself since I wanted it to be a personal journey, something that would be all me, something that was a reflection of all the evil things I could imagine and spiritual moods that I had experienced lately during some trips into the woods and into myself, exploring the darkest corners of my conscience and soul through ritualistic ingestion of magical hallucinogenic potions same as used many years ago by the ancient cultures ' sorcerers of antiquity to find the inner path to higher coinsciousness.. Finally I put it all to music, using a friend's keyborad and some recording instruments of my own... the result, was an infernal trip trhough my nightmares and hallucinations, a musical picture of my own Heaven and Hell... I just imagined how would Hell's sound would be like and I made my best to copy it... then themes like "Inferno" and "Ouroboros" were made... first, containing some hallucinating vocals, but I decided not to include them on the final product, which was the "Promo '97" containing 4 instrumental tracks with nice volume yet not so good sound quality. This promo was sent all over the world, getting good comments and reviews, which was something that I was sincerely not expecting, but people seemed to understand the feelings and emotions I was trying to transmit trough it and so they liked it and interpreted the songs and sounds their own way, making of each one their own personal journey and experience. I must admit that my music is not intended for the average listener, it is made for a special and partuicular kind of listener, those into real dark music and occult ritualistic sounds, also for those with hidden dark feelings and those who are in a constant search for what is beyond our senses, those who dare to walk on the forbidden path and to dive into unknown waters. This music was not created for the weak and trendy, this music was inspired by knowledge beyond daily affaris, above all filthy thought corrupted by society and mankind. It summons thoughts from the inner darkness of the spirit and bring them forth as deep waves of sound that transform into your fears, desires, mind depravitiy and soul erosion and pathways to spacing out into the dark unknown put to images of sound. After the release of the Promo '97 I took some time off to distribute some tapes here and there, do some promotion and stuff, but I never stopped creating music, so I came up with two more tracks ("Lebzul" and "Psilocybe Trip") that where included as bonus tracks with the latter re-edition of the first promo. Some time after that I started making new songs and got some old tracks remastered... I had some big plans but the lack of money made me get it done my own way again so I got most of the stuff I had done since '97 and put it all together in what has become the demo debut 2000, entitled "The Silence Within" though the first 20 promo copies where sent out under the name "Nidstang" without the cover art. Then the Split Demo 2001 release with Vinterriket (Germany) came out though a co-operation between Infernal Records and Neodawn Productions. 500 Hand-numbered copies were made and distributed worldwide. I still have some I saved for this time when it has become a very rare cult act and a collectioner's issue. If you're interested in geeting a copy contact me. The folow up to the split release was "Bloodbath in Paradise"; the first full lenght, being mostly a compilation of all the previous work plus a few bonus tracks. "Bloodbath in Paradise" was remastered quite shortly ago and will be re-distributed by Supersonic Music. Three completely new and unreleased tracks were added to this release as a bonus. The original release has become quite popular in underground communities of traders and pretty well nown between dark ambient followers wroldwide. To be updated on the exact day of the re-release go to the news section. Now on late 2005 I released a second full lenght double CD-R entitled "Summoning the Inner Darkness", some advanced tracks have been discretely sent to well respected entities of the dark and reviews have been great so far. As long as I have the means to transform my nightmares and thoughts to music and giving more room to experimentation and innovation I will continue doing this and bringing an alternative way to listen to underground Ambient/Occult/Experimental music to all the underground maniacs all over the world who crave for something different. Expect more occult and mysterious music inspired by cold lake waters, profound dark oceans, deep woods, the lurking evil under a midnight sky on a moonless night, blood red sunsets, and all the mighty manifestations of universal grandeur that surround us while we're travelling through time and space on this big blue sphere called Earth...
