Leather Nun
Legendary swedish alternative rockband that created an name for themselves internationally by crossing over punk, industrial and heavy alternative rock. A highly popular liveband that toured Europe and the US clubscene, moving to larger venues by every tour. Featured regulary in brittish and european musicpress throughout the 80's and 90's. Appeared on every important UK and european TV- and Radio-show aswell as live on the syndicated MTV USA.
Band/artist history
Formed in 1979 to record a single-B-side for then legendary brittish label Industrial Records. First release was the Slow Death EP in Nov 1979, featured every nite for two weeks on legendary BBC DJ John Peel Show. Last studioalbum, Nun Permanent, was recorded in 1991 and produced by legendary David Bowie-sidekick Mick Ronson. A double-cd with livetracks from the 15 anniversary show, was released in 1995. Leather Nun reunited to celebrate 25 year anniversary by headlining a cityfestival in native hometown Gothenburg, Sweden causing headline ravereviews in the national eveningpapers. Rumours are for a cd-box to be released, featuring legendary liveconcerts, and a new studioalbum.
