Lavandaria
Well, my band is me, really, so that's an easy introduction. I just always liked the concept of one-person playing all of the instruments, but still trying to pass something off as a band instead of just being a solo artist. (Re: Boston, Eels, any of the last three Beatles albums). It's just so pompous and cheesy. So, therefore, I had to do it.
So, I'm a working guy who makes music on the side. Actually, not on the side, but in my bedroom. So at least there's something going on there. Mainly, I'm using this space to house works-in-progress to share with other people to get feedback. So, feedback away, I guess.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Nope. Due to still-unresovled ligitation between myself, the American Federation of Musicians, the Teamsters, and the heirs to the Baskin-Robbins empire, I am unable to perform in public, or in fact leave my house.
Your musical influences
XTC, Big Star, X, The Replacements, Breadan Benson, Jason Falkner, Squeeze, Elvis Costello...pretty much any smart, melodic pop with an edge.
