A piano player since the age of 3, Lauren Gibbs has been writing songs and playing professionally since the age of 14. She collaborates w/ NYC writer Marc Hoffman as well as George Karak, (writer of Bon Jovi's 'Runaway'), amongst others. As a musician, Lauren has played acoustic piano/synth on Lou Reed tracks, as well as on Susan Werner's debut album 'Last of the Good Straight Girls' on Private Music/BMG. And for the last several years, Lauren has worked closely as a vocalist/keyboardist for world-class bassist and MCA writer, Fernando Saunders. On the side, Lauren studies piano performance in the Juilliard School's Evening Division in NYC. She also volunteers monthly for non-profit NYC organization Musicians On Call, doing in-room performances for patients at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. You can read more about Lauren's work with Musicians On Call in the March 2002 issue of 'International Musician', the monthly magazine from the American Federation of Musicians. As an artist, Lauren fits into today's Pop/Adult Contemporary format. Lauren has developed an internet presence, marked by the popularity of the single 'Believe' on (the now-defunct!)
