Cheerleader Lauren Elle is blowing away other female vocalists in her age group with her budding musical career and sassy single Accessories. An accomplished dancer who fully encompasses what it means to be a performer, the gifted 19-year-old is in her third season as a professional cheerleader for Torontos CFL champs, the Argonauts. The Toronto-bred songstress also boasts talents as a pianist, drummer, guitarist and bass player.
Her vocal abilities and inspiration include Christina Aguilera and Lady Gaga. Most notable in her single Accessories is the punchy rhythm and feisty, girl-power lyrics. Lauren Elle grabbed Americas attention when her song Dont Stop was featured on hit star-making dance show So You Think You Can Dance? The song shot to the most played track on her MySpace.
Her first studio-made track was at the age of 12, landing her the lead vocals and bass player in pop-rock band The Blonde Moments. Lauren Elle has played popular venues including the Docks, Opera House, Kool House, Guvernment and Reverb. I am so fortunate to have had these experiences, says Lauren, especially opening up for Broken Social Scene.
During her young career, Lauren performed the National Anthem at Torontos Rogers Centre for the Argos 2005 and 2007 games. Lauren now has a recording contract with Top Cat Entertainment in association with Polo Grounds Music/J.Records imprint. Projects Lauren Elle is working on include collaborations with producers from Bad Boy Records, Konvict Music and other big name hit makers. Her collection of music runs the gamut from ballads to up-tempo dance records.
