LastMan
LastMan was founded by Doug Weimer, who started writing material for the project in February of 2005. By July, Eric Reynolds was collaborating fulltime with Doug as bassist on the songs. Taking a concept and partial song title from their previous band, Stormfront, Doug and Eric called the new band LastMan, a one word derivitive of "Last Man Standing".
Doug and Eric started auditioning drummers in August, and by October, Jay Brock had joined LastMan as drummer. Jay moved from Georgia in 2005, where he played with the band Source of Contention.
Doug, Eric and Jay began rehearsing with the intention of bringing in another guitarist along the way, but found the 3-piece dynamic worked well and decided to move forward as a trio.
LastMan recorded tracks over the winter months of 2005-2006, and in late March of 2006 started to play live shows in the D.C./ Baltimore area. The band is currently supporting the new cd, which was released August 26th. Look for them to coming to a club/venue near you soon
