"As a singer-songwriter, I pour my heart into crafting my own music, with a special passion for country gospel. When I'm not singing, I'm writing - and I'm proud to have authored several books that share our family's journey. You can find my books on my social media pages. As a single father of five amazing sons, our story is one of love, resilience, and faith. Through my songs and books, I share our experiences, hoping to inspire and uplift others along the way." Band/artist history
Growing up as a preacher's kid, I was surrounded by music and ministry from a young age. I began singing in church as a child and started playing piano at just seven years old. Our family's travels across the USA exposed me to diverse musical experiences, and I assumed that singing original songs was a normal part of Christian expression. It wasn't until I grew older that I realized not everyone writes their own music. Through the years, I've had the opportunity to sing at local gatherings and various churches, which has helped me become comfortable on stage and confident in sharing my musical talents with others. These experiences have been instrumental in shaping my musical journey, fostering a deep appreciation for music and a natural inclination towards performance.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
"Music has always been a natural part of my life, and I've always felt comfortable performing. While public speaking initially presented a challenge, I've found it incredibly rewarding. Although I still experience nerves, the sense of accomplishment and connection with others makes pushing past my comfort zone worthwhile. Two experiences stand out: performing at a well-known songwriters' venue in Nashville, immersing myself in the city's music scene, and serving as a worship leader, sharing my passion and leading my community in meaningful moments."
Your musical influences
My musical journey has been shaped by a variety of influences, with some legendary artists truly inspiring me. Growing up, I was captivated by the talents of Dottie Rambo, The Hinsons, The Happy Goodmans, and later, the Crabb Family. Their music left a lasting impression. In the secular world, I was drawn to the incredible voices of Barbara Mandrell and Vince Gill, whose artistry has consistently inspired me. While I never had the opportunity to meet these musical heroes, their contributions to gospel and country music continue to influence my own unique sound.

Anything else?
Writing is my true passion, and I have a deep appreciation for artists who pour their heart and soul into crafting their own music. However, I also have a soft spot for talented performers who, even if they didn't write the songs themselves, bring such conviction and emotion to their delivery that it feels like it's coming straight from their own heart. These artists have a unique ability to connect with the audience on a deeply personal level, making the music come alive in a way that transcends the written word.
