Ladwig
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
The Uncut Version: Ladwig is an established San Diego band that began their career opening for the likes of Berlin, Joan Jett and The Murmurs. Recent shows include openings for Storm, Inc., Backlit, and other high energy bands. Contagious melodies and unforgettable harmonies best describe Ladwig's hard pop edge. The predominately female lineup has always written and co-produced all their own music and lyrics. Often described as sassy and fun, Beth Ladwig and her band deliver hard-edged radio inclined material with substance. The band's lyrics are best described as "charming, yet nasty" and always get the audience singing along. Driving, grinding guitars and a tight rhythm section supply the punch to their cutting edge sound. Ladwig's influences include Nirvana, The Beatles, and The Pixies. Along with having recorded three CDs, they have sold thousands of copies of the first EP entitled Beth Ladwig. Ladwig is currently writing the soundtrack for an independent film and packing venues throughout Southern California. With inviting, down-to-earth personalities and an innovative sound, Ladwig draws you in and is impossible to forget.
