La CucaRasta

Reggae Music for Beginners!
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
It was a sunday afternoon and jerome had just called us together via cellular telephone, or celphone for short. The sunday after that we went to his house and he said "we should form a band." and we said, but not all together, "ok." and he said "cool." "Let's play reggae like bob marley and sublime and shit!" he said afterwards and we said "ok!" We jammed songs we didn't know and some originals. After a few weeks of practice we got our first gig. The booze was good... After that we had our second gig. The booze was still good, but no longer free... then Jerome left for the states and we had to find a permanent session vocalist. It's all nice and steady from there.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Yes we do. Mostly in Bistro 110 but we've played in Aposento, Cafe Saguijo, 6 Underground, Xymaca and a number of events like Oktoberfest, Fete de la Musique and the World Pyro Olympics.
