Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Back in my freshman year of High School, I teamed up with a group of my close friends and joined their already formed group, Smooth Harmony (which would later be call Protege'). I sang lead mostly and provided the sultry harmony that was 'smooth harmony'. After being with them for 3 years and going NOWHERE, I decided that myself and my
bestfriend Jason would form a duo. Unfortunatly it was short-lived due to the fact that I joined the Army, and he went onto Hampton University,VA.
After being at Fort Stewart for no more than 2 months, I met an extraordinary Rapper/Friend named Eenis Rodgers aka. Energy (and onstage,he was FULL of it). E (as I called him) showed me that I was a unique talent and in a sense gave me the idea to blend my talents as an R & B singer and Rapper.
I have done that and I am still perfecting my craft. I know there are many out there that may be TRYING to do the same thing that I want to do, but the are NOTHING like me.
I call my blend....R & Kree!
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I have Rapped and Sang on stage before. I've sing alot more on stage more though. I sang back home in my Church and in High School talent shows,in Gerogia Night Clubs, and to whoever wanted to hear me. I LOVE to sing! I like rappin' and I just happen to be good at it, which is why Im going to pursue it.
One time that stands out in my mind while singing live was when I sang to these girls after they overheard me singing to a producer, and I made one of them cry. I sang Cupid by 112.
Your musical influences
I was influenced by many people in my years of living.
R&B singers include: Eric Benet,Sisqo and Woody of dru hill,Marvin Gaye, R.Kelly,and Musiq soulchild.
Rappers include: Common,Eminem,Nas,Jay-Z,Benie Siegal,Memph Bleek, 2 pac, Biggie, and Energy (E)
What equipment do you use?
Currently I use a multi-session track recorder program on my cpu. I have a quality microphone and a the program is of the hook with vocal effects and track boosts!
Anything else?
To anyone think about joining the U.S. ARMY....its your choice most definately..but I would strongly advise against it. I was in it, and the is ALOT of things about the way you are treated,living quarters,and pay that the Recruiters do not and WILL NOT tell you.
Keep that in mind. If you decide to join....you have my pity...prepare to suffer.
