Welcome! First I would like to say that I'm full of joy to know Jesus as my personal savour. My solo band is called Deliverance, currently a solo artist and songwriter.Maybe I will have a full band to record with soon, but if I don't, it doesn't matter, I will continue to record music and add on to my studio that i'm slowly building. But right now, as the Lord anoints me more and more each day with new songs I will share his blessings that he has giving me - to you. God Bless you and may his face shine upon you with endless LOVE.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I started playing guitar when I was a teen, but got away from it for some time.I think I was just testing the waters and trying to find answers to what my goals were and be guided on the right path.I think I always knew there was a call upon my life for music minestry because I struggled with writing rock n roll, but I could write a gospel song in 10 minutes. Currently still soloing at home but hopefully have a christian band soon. But if not,I will still continue to share Gods love tru song.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I sing specials at my church quite often and I know that the Lord is using me to touch others in that way.I really enjoy playing and singing gospel because it has such a foundation behind it. Most of all it is to glorify God and in return he blesses me a hundred fold. I sent a poem that I wrote a year ago to the International poetry society and I came first in the simi finals out of several entries.I recieved the "editor's choice award" (certificate)for unique perspective and original creativity--judged to be the qualities most found in axceptiional poetry. It was also published in their latest "Deluxe Hardbound Edition".I was very excited. The poem was called,"The way it Goes".I later composed it into a song and soon will upload it to this site.
Your musical influences
I would have to say it began with Randy and David Gilmore. Their style of mixing classical, metal/blues,half whole steps and crazy 2 fret bends as a combination, it was genius. It blew me away. All the combinations of scales and chord combos put together into an awesome arrangment. So for me it was a window on how to study theory of the "guitar neck", and finding paths that really gave me a jump start and knowing that there are no rules. Also not just strickly notation but a playground of sound. Thats what really made me pick up guitar and learn. That's when I was a teen, and a little wild, but it brought me a long way when it comes to self teaching. Now I am really changed and influenced by Third Day,Michell W Smith,Steven curtis chapman, Sherie easter, and alot of country and contempary gospel.Beautiful talent. But my way of guitar "self-teaching" is still the same.To me a guitar is like a "world map", if you know how to navigate it; it will take you anywhere you wish to go.
What equipment do you use?
I use a Tascam 2488-the heart of the sound, with duel amps and tuners with 4 separate volume, bass, treble, and full pan control, sure mics,2 main 16" Vintage Tranor speaker cabinets, 4 6" mids, 4 6" surrounds, Godin guitars and pushing 600+ whatts. Oh Yeh !!
Anything else?
If I crank it up I think I can shift my apartment out closer to the road. Ah Ah ! Well thats about it but I would like to hear from others who enjoy music has much as I do.Last but not least, thanks to soundclick for this awesome site and a window of opportunity to expose even more. Thanks.
