Kooll, born June 5th 1985, is an amazing R&B/Pop/Urban producer and vocalist. His honest lyrics and innocent vocals set him apart from many modern acts. Driven by his deploring past, Kooll crafted music and uses it as an instrument of escape; as a friendsomeone he can talk to when the world shuts him out. He is extremely spiritual and his spirituality can often be heard in his songs. When he is not recording or writing a track, Kooll wisely spends his time composing various Poems or short stories.
He assembles most of his inspiration from the obstacles he has encountered, his present day to day struggles, old school R&B, Cultural Reggae and Soft Rock music. He is often compared to the likes of Justin Timberlake, Usher and Craig David but entertain the argument that he is unique in every shape and form.
He does music for the simple and common people hence, in his songs there are no talks of material things. His lyrics are honest, simple yet deep and refine and that’s his main and strong point as an artist, apart from is smooth innocent vocals and productions.
He wrote and produced all of the songs on his album called “Bourne II Soar” that is scheduled to be released this winter. The album is a mixture of astounding R&B/urban and pop songs with catchy lyrics and superb productions.
In 2007 Kooll started recording his first album, and just as destiny would have designed it, he was strolling Downtown Atlanta when he pounced upon a stranger name Chris Lee. After hearing a rough demo, Chris Lee immediately made an arrangement to meet with Kooll the following day, and as promised, the two met.
It turned out that Chris Lee wasn’t your average stranger. He was a musical genius and the CEO of Lee Edith Records; an Independent Record Label based in Atlanta Georgia.
The two discussed plans on taking Kooll’s career all the way to the top and the following month Kooll rocked an audience of over three thousand people, a show in which Chris Lee instigated. Kooll performed along with the soulful Angie Stone and the multitalented and platinum selling artist Jon B. The audience was pleased and demanded more, but Kooll, humble as he was, knew that they had to wait for the best was yet to come.
Chris Lee went on to sign Kooll to his record label and Kooll will be the first artist emerging from Lee Edith Records.
I emerged from the shades of night
When the spiritless moon was scared to rise
Where horror winged her surly flight
Beneath the bleak and obscure skies
I was welcomed by scowling clouds of despair
But drank the bitter tears that baked my cheek
While through the dark and muddy air
My thoughts did break for triumph seek
When you’re drowning, air becomes a chance
And there is no more reason to deplore
So hold opportunity with a steadfast glance
For just like me, you were Bourne II Soar
