Kontrecarrer
Kontre (pronounced kontrecarrer) is a belgian rap-metal band. They only singing in French and their lyrics are commited.
The band was created in november 2000 and is composed by two singers, two guitarist, one bass and drums.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
So far, the bands played more than 100 concerts in Belgium, France, Luxemburg and Germany. They played in big Belgian festivals like Dour, Nandrin, Wardin, and share the stage with bands like Biohazard, Watcha, Pleymo, Enhancer, Superbutt, Kobayes, and many more.
Your musical influences
6 peoples in the bands with very differents taste in music! Some are more into metal and metalcore, others in hip-hop, ragga and rap, and even electronic, drum n bass, jazz, experimental,... The only genre we share is rapmetal.
We are influenced by RATM, (hed) p.e., Snot, Cypress Hill, Biohazard, Dubwar and many more.
What equipment do you use?
Essentially Line 6 for guitars. ampeg for bass, Shure microphones for the singers.
Mapex and Zidjian for drums.
