International female performing artist KIMX, is going to release her album debut Straight From 'Da Jungle coming soon!
Welcome KIMX fans!
After a long and prosperous year, international performing artist KIMX is planning on releasing her album debut within a couple of months.
"It took a while but now I'm ready!" proclaims the recording artist.
Her album KIMXSTRAIGHT FROM 'DA JUNGLE is going to first be released on the net before any distribution deals are made.
KIMXSTRAIGHT FROM 'DA JUNGLE has a variety of songs, from hard core gangsta rap to up beat dance songs. It is sure an album to have for all occasions.
Her lyrics are sure to be one's you'd have to listen to more than once to completely grasp the hidden messages which underly her tight ass music.
When asked what is the most important thing about her music, she replies "The feel of it. I just want to create music that people feel. No matter the situation behind the song, Feelings are universal and if someone can feel me and express their feelings with my music then it has served it's purpose. People don't get enough chances to truly express themselves and that is what music is all about."

KIMX always had a song in her heart and a dance to her feet. She wrote her 1st song at 5 years old told in a story by her father. "The thing I remember most as a child was...I always loved to sing.."
Seeing that she was gifted in the performing arts, her parents started her adolecent training in dancing, including ballet at 5 and tap and jazz dancing to the following years not to mention her training in the martial arts and others such as ballroom dancing to other distingushed arts.
Following a hardened life,...KIMX started her profession singing live in Vietnamese Clubs and Restarants in the Bay Area.
"I really didn't know how to speak
Vietnamese that well as a child,...but
hearing the music around me, sparked a
thirst for my lost heritage and salvation."
In 1997 she moved to Las Vegas to run and manage a Vietnamese Restarant & Bar.
"At the time...most restarants and bars
had karaoke every night ...for
we, ..Vietnamese love to sing...I saw it
an oppurtunity to get some live shows
going on so we gathered up a band and
took seized the oppurtunity...The asians
there were thirsty for some good old live
entertainment. At that time we truly
benefitted from Las Vegas and it's
generous tourists..."
Homesick, KIMX returned to her home town San Jose to do a few private parties and stage appearances until she was introduced to a producer. In attempts to make an album... her producer saw something more in her so instead of just turning her into another "Brittney Spears" story he decided to let her draw out of herself her natural talent, beauty and grace,...and also her other side... her cut- throaght, honest perspective personality which she gained from a rough childhood.
"I was so mad at him for not just making
me fake. Now I am in debt for not letting
me take the easy way..."
Since the beginning of her mentorship, she has been working on her music. Doing everything from making the beats...to adding full instruments to her songs. Every instrument note by note she plays and re-plays until she gets it right. Being familiar of softwares and their capabilities, she often spends much of her time perfecting the playing of each of the different instruments in her songs.
"It's a little stressed sometimes when I
lose my focus. I don't know how to read
music or anything. I just know what I
feel, and play. It is my expression, my
feelings. Then after I get it down...I
have to go over what it was I felt...
and teach myself how to feel it again.."
Soon she will be releasing her album...
"I am so excited yet also so nervous at
times but I just try to remember that
if nobody else likes it...It's ok cuz I
like it and that's good enough for me...."
As of now she is working on her album to meet the expected release.
"It's hard doing it all alone, but I know,
in the end...It'll be well worth the time
and energy!..."

Your musical influences
All of the artists I grew up with are an influence to me, from Pachelbel to Madonna. I've learned much from all that is around me but my greatest influence is My Father, who taught me how to recognize different layers of instruments in classicals and singing styles and my mother who taught me that making music doesn't need elaborate equipment, just a pair of chopsticks,clapping hands and an uplifting soul ready to sing.What equipment do you use?
