I'm a songwriter/composer who occasionaly gets trapped into doing my own vocals on my demos. I'm signed with a wonderful publisher in Nashville who is doing an awesome job promoting my songs. I recently had a "hold" put on one of my songs at DreamWorks. This business is such a roller-coaster ride... and you've gotta love it!
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I've been around music all of my life and have been writing since 1980. After raising five children (the youngest being twins, now 13) I'm finally able to make my songwriting a priority in my life and it's GREAT!
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I don't play live and don't consider myself a singer or performer... but I do love to write lyrics and music.
Your musical influences
I was raised on Patsy Cline, Jim Reeves, Charley Pride, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Marty Robbins and Elvis. I'd have to say Reba, Dolly, Vince Gill & Randy Travis were big influences in the later years. Now, Allison Krauss, Joe Nichols and Alan Jackson would be three of my favorites.
