Kim McLean is an award winning songwriter who's work has appeared on NBC's West Wing, CBS - J*A*G, and ABC's Hope & Faith and she's had over 200 songs recorded by artists like Tim McGraw, Trisha Yearwood, Shana Morrison and more. Now she steps out of the songwriter's room into the spotlight with her own artist projects.

Have you performed in front of an audience?

I have played large performing arts center stages in the U.S., intimate house concerts, beautiful churches, and glorious festivals in the U.S. and the U.K. One of the most wonderful nights was walking out onto the stage of the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, to the original circle of wood in the spotlight front and center, where Patsy Cline, Hank Sr., and even Elvis had stood. I sang at the birthplace of the Grand Ol' Opry, the mother church - as they call it. What a nice memory!

Your musical influences

Tom Petty, Elvis, Keith Green, Emmylou, Sam Cook, and just about any hit from the 60's

What equipment do you use?

I endorse Taylor Guitars (Acoustics), D'Addario Strings, Gibson Vixen Electrics, and Washburn Mandolins. I play Yamaha keyboards (thought I don't have an endorsement for them...yet).
