K-Gi has been writing for over 30 years.
He resides in Canada.
He has been encouraged and urged by friends and fellow musicians to
share his creations. Hence, a debut album!
'If It Were Not So...I Would Have Told You!' speaks to all music lovers
of various genres. A Journey from sandy beaches to salmon-filled rivers;
from uplifting parties to candle-light dinners. Love Ballads, jazzy Latin guitar instrumentals, classical themes, R&B and Rap, African dance and drum music, Pop, Rock and Reggae.
A diversity of genres is also reflected in K-Gi's lyrics, which paint
a wide array of different pictures.
From excursions in 'Paradise' to bouncy fun-filled party scenes, from social critical
issues to father-daughter relationships.
At present K-Gi is working on his second album, which will include
several Reggae and crossover songs.
He has recently written a Cumbia instrumental for a documentary about
travelling a long forgotten pole-post road in Mexico.
K-Gi also works with a well known dancer in France and provides
the music for her African Dance show and dance classes.
He feels that a good marriage between words and music (prosody) can if
only briefly, uplift the human spirit and give it wings to fly.
Yet, as important as music is to him, he envisions it as just a slice
of bread on the table of life.
Though somewhat of an introvert, K-Gis altruistic nature immediately
surfaces when engaged in lively discussions.
He asserts that no one will truly be safe, well-off and at peace until we ALL are!
He believes that we are all connected to each other whether we know it
or not; like it or not. In particular, he mentions how quickly we forget
where we have come from once we become successful; forget what it is like to
be hungry once we are full; or what it means to be cold while we are
warm. However, once we are loved we never forget. It is therefore
incumbent upon us all to do all that we can to spread love, peace, joy
and compassionand to contribute towards the reduction of tragedies and
sorrows globally.
It is K-Gis ambition that music will afford him the opportunity to make
a differenceno matter how small. Drop by drop is the bucket filled.
Though many are called, few are chosen.
If it were not so he would have told you!

I enjoyed your page. Listened to 4 songs so far, and after this message im going back to listen top more!
Well good stuff, return the favor sometime!
Stay up!
Yo', I didn't have enough time to check out any other songs, so I only peeped this one:
"The Pink Salmon" (6/10)
The beat was eh... okay, I guess. But I couldn't hear your singing nor talking (or whatever in the beginning) too well. Of course, this wasn't too bad. I did like the singing (when I could make the words out).
I really didn't like the beat, but at least you went well with it. Your voice was with it the whole time. That's what's up. Word. I didn't really find any thing awful, except for that background singing. I found it annoying because I couldn't understand you that well. The beat did get better, though. ~1ne~
