I've been playing music since I discovered the piano at age 3. While playing solo in the recording environment, I also play rock with "The Buffalo Joe Band", a decades-old band based in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.Have you performed in front of an audience?"The Buffalo Joe Band" can be heard frequently in better establishments throughout the Sheboygan area.
Your musical influences
My biggest musical influence is J.S. Bach. His influence is persistent not only in my own mind, but throughout the musical world. I'd also have to include Wendy (Walter) Carlos, Keith Emerson, Roger Williams, Floyd Cramer (?!) yup...had to love (some of) his piano stuff...and many others who, as with any musician, influenced me along the way. Can't forget Igor Stravinsky & Peter Illyich Tschaikovsky. Color..color..color.What equipment do you use?
I record on a Tascam 788 portastudio. My instruments are a Korg DW-8000, Mini Moog model D, Yamaha FB-01, Fender Rhodes piano, Hohner Clavinet-C, Hohner diaphonic harmonium, various hand percussion, and a 1903 Cornish upright piano.Anything else?
Much of my music falls into the mellow electronica, but also extends to jazz, orchestral, rock, experimental...it was hard to choose a genre.lilaznshawtii369's station

Kevin is an extremely talented musician, keyboardist, and arranger. I really enjoyed the variety of pieces here: Moonlight Sonata, According To..., Shovel Shuffle; and Moonsong was a favorite!! What an opus! Keep up the good work Kevin!
Cheers,
Tom ParsonsMike: Thank you...it's much appreciated. That's about the only true "pianist's" numbers I've ever been able to do well, but it seemed to "play itself" on that century-old piano. I'd just gotten some new recording equipment and wanted to try it out on a number, and that was the result. A very happy outcome.Kevin
I loved your recording of Moonlight Sonata, great playing, lovely sound of the piano and well recorded.
MikeThanks, Betty. Most of the stuff you've probably heard already, but watch for a "Buffalo Joe Band" page to be posted soon. We've got one CD under the belt from back in '99 that's out of print...sold 'em all at jobs and to friends etc., so the songs will only be available there. The new CD is just started now...one song at a time.

Tom...thanks a lot for your kind comments. Its especially good to hear from one who's company I've enjoyed through the 788'rs. By the way, "Sparkle on the Water" is lots of fun for the ears, and the analog sounds contribute that nice, early- electronica percussive wash that seemed a hallmark of the Arp family. I used to work at a music store that had a 2600 for sale - never purchased. Lots of fun there. Evenually I used an Arp Axxe for my road synth, since I really didn't want to put my mini through the rigors. Love that analog sound. What a fun time in which to grow musically!
