Kevin Saturna
Kevin Saturna is on a life-long mission to bring the world of dreams flowing into the world of waking life through the intrinsic power of sound and music.
He has played all manner of keyed instruments (harpsichord, piano, organ, etc) since the age of three years.
In his late teens he made the decision to devote his life to bringing the ocean of music trapped in his head into the outside world.
Audience members at his currently infrequent live performances regularly claim to be transfixed by the sound and environment that is created through his expression, and often find themselves lost in a trance-like dream state.
The tremendous emotional, personal responses Kevin has received from listeners and fans has kept him devoted to the continuing performance and creation of this unique evolving music.
Most of the recordings available are live improvisations, unedited. Whilst lacking the polish of a studio recording, they capture the strange spontaneous creation of intricate songs and instrumental music unique to Kevin Saturna.

Your musical influences
"Life and experience have been the major contributers to my music. I've never consciously aimed for a particular sound or to emulate any particular band, sound or style. The purpose of my involvement in the manipulation of sound is to find personal fulfillment by moving that special 'something' from somewhere intangible to concrescence in the tangible world we inhabit. It is an uplifting and cathartic process for me. If what I bring into the world touches just one other person out there in some intimate way then I consider it well worth the effort and an all-around success.
What equipment do you use?
Pianos, organs, synthesizers, pan flute, hand drums, whatever else is around.
