Just a broken heart song. This is a rough draft, and we'll add harmonies & some dobro once we learn it up!

After reading about the Sand Creek Massacre, and Chief Black Kettle, I wrote this song on his behalf. The lyrics are a prayer from Black Kettle to the Great One, right after the attack on his people. God bless the Native Americans.

I'm a singer/songwriter. Hoping someone will enjoy my tunes and maybe want to record a few of them. I do a lot of local jams and play wherever I can find a mic.
Let me know if you like my songs. I'll give yours a listen!
Peace,

The famous composer Glenn Miller is my distant cousin. Dude's got soul. John Denver, Jerry Garcia, and David Grisman are my heroes, too. What equipment do you use?

hey Kev, my son just told me you contacted him about his video. i've been gone from songclick so long i had a hard time figuring out how to get around on it. had a listen while i was here and it still sounds great.
Now thats a perfect song in my ears.
I've always loved songs about trains...your style reminds me both of Ricky Skaggs and Norman Blake. Not many bluegrass people can walk the line between fresh and faithful to tradition, yet your tunes are exactly that...impressive.
This is one of my favorite bluegrass gospel tunes, and I really like your laid-back take on it...pretty damn good for "just noodling!"
Wow, really nice tribute and an excellent bluegrass song in its own right.
