Hello, my names is Kenn Smith, bassist and composer. The name of my new band is "Elements of Life", a mixture of jazz, old school funk and world music. My mission in life is simply. Play some music, spread some love and joy, have a good time. Life is to short!

Kenn has performed with many great artist as a session/touring guitarist and bassist. Playing styles ranging from be-bop to alterative rock. Sharing stages with such artist as Tower of Power, Stanley Turrentine, Stanley Jordan and members of the Miles Davis Band. As a solo artist he is recognized for his soulful, organic mixture of jazz, funk and blues.

hey Kenn

   Just wondering if you might be interested in doing some recording with 
me.I am currently writing for a new record and could use a great bass 
player.If you have a home studio we could easily work together,thats how I 
do the drums.I use a cat in Mass. and I send him rough mp3s of the tune and 
he records his parts and then emails them as mp3 for my approval,if I dig 
it then he snail mails me a cd with the wav file.Takes to long to up/down 
load wavs.Anyway if you are interested let me know,check out my page to get 
an idea what I do(although the new stuff is much better)If you are down for 
it I can send you a tune with my basic bass track so you can get an idea 
where I am headed and then send you the same tune minus the bass and you 
can go wild.Then you could just email me the rouggh mix so I could check it 
out.
