Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
As a kid, I wanted to take piano lessons, and did so for 8years of my life. I've competed in competitions, and even won 5th place in a national tournament with my rendition of Bach's 'Song'. I also took a few years of guitar lessons, and am self-taught at bass guitar and drums.
Electronically I started making Drum n Bass in '97 under the name qUneqO (OpenUp backwards). A year later I changed my name to ej*Quo, and sold MANY copies of four different disks on mp3.com back when it was decent. When I got into producing rap more (around '99 - '00), I took the name Minute, but that didn't stick.
I've been a member of many online groups over the years, but the most natable MUSIC group would have to be pHluid. I still got mad love for all the pHluid alumni.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Well, my beats have been played at shows by various groups, but I myself am not a performer. I have rapped obviously, and recorded a few tracks, but never performed live. Doesn't really matter either way if I do or not.
Your musical influences
I create my unique style by fusing classical and hip-hop. Think Dre and Bach combined.
What equipment do you use?
Fruityloops 3.56, Reason 2.5, and the latest version of Garageband. I also have hundreds of megs worth of SF2s, VSTi, etc...
