Honest music. Straight from me.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I always loved to sing...I wanted to play guitar forever, but I just didn't grasp the concept quite clearly, and I was very insecure with my voice and well everything. To make a long story short, I moved in with a band, ditched a majority of my shyness of people hearing my voice, studied guitar VERY seriously...and learned a thing or two about making music. My desire for people to hear how I felt has mostly over ridden any nervousness I had previously had.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I play live in my basement on occassion, to my friends....
Your musical influences
I used to like country when I was younger...so I feel it influenced my singing style, though I don't like most country now-a-days. I'm more into a variety of rock sounds. Alice and Chains, Nirvana, Led Zepplin, The Beatles, John Lennon, Rolling Stones, Portishead, Tori Amos, The Breeders, Billie Holiday, Janis Joplin, Neil Young, Brian Warner, NIN, The Who, Pearl Jam, U2, The Ghost of You (local columbus band, www.soundclick.com/theghostofyou),
What equipment do you use?
I use a guitar...my voice...and a drum machine...
