Karwreck
Karwreck is a band that originated in New York City. It has undergone a few personnel changes but has never lost the consistent creative drive that’s made it stay together this long. Currently, Karwreck is split between two cities but can be regularly seen on NYC stages and heard on the Internet. A new album has just been recorded and awaits release.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
The band was formed at the turn of the century by Andy Fish, Gene Palacios, and Jesse McGrath in New York City. It grew like a weed and when it was a hundred feet tall all the villagers gathered around and plucked it from its roots, dried it out, and smoked it. People are still stoned out of their minds.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Yes. We play anywhere we're invited to play. We LOVE it. Every moment on stage performing our music is a special one.
Your musical influences
Melodic rock guitar riff heavy drum pounding sexy moody punk velvet glove iron fist driving sunsets to flaming hell.
What equipment do you use?
Cheap-ass guitars, junky shit-drums, tube-blown amps, crappy microphones, but a really nice buttery smooth bass rig.
