Early 2005, thoughts of forming a mighty band were just forming in Stephen's and Tomas's mind. Though their concept was not long lived, it still lingered in the mind of Stephen. Through various happenings of fate, he came across others with the same common goal.
Mike, newly associated with the arts of guitar, was quick to join Stephen's project that would soon become Karpathium as Rythm Guitarist. Ryan was also recruited to the task of drums, being a comrade of Stephen's in their Baseball clan.
The 3 piece band was beginning to take shape - Karpathium now had a drummer, a Rythm Guitarist, and a Lead Guitarist. After some unrest in the keyboard position, the band settled upon La Love Wang, a longtime friend of Stephen's. La fit excellently with the Karpathium crew, and within week she had recruited her close friend, Brian Yatsko, to fill the position of Bass.
Karpathium had finally formed what they thought to be a complete line-up, but they were not quite fulfilled. Something could still be improved.
The answer lay with recruiting Steves' close friend, and initial band member, Tomas, to take the position of Dual Lead, creating speedy, melodic melodies and aggressive, driving riffwork. The band was completed.
Though newly formed, Karpathium will surely become the next Great Force in the Metal scene today, continuing in the vein of the Great Finnish lords.Have you performed in front of an audience?No. Unless subterraneal Shaman Ceremonies count... Yes, we enjoy them.
