Karnak Seti
Karnak Seti is a band of Death-Thrash Metal from Madeira Island - Portugal.
Karnak Seti is an enlightened sepulchre that portrays the marvels cast upon the world by Seti I, the engineer behind the Karnak temple, a city of temples built over 2,000 years ago and dedicated to the Thebean triad of Amon, Mut and Khonsu. This temple has been referred to as the mother of all religious buildings, the largest ever made and a place of pilgrimage for nearly 4,000 years. Seti can nevertheless be taken as a gaze towards the stars following the path taken by Nasa's program to seek extraterrestrial life.
Since November 2001, a quest has defied this outfit to perceive the chemistry between aggressiveness and melody. Such were the claims the band proffered.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
The band was formed in November 2001. Since then we had two changes in our line up. At the moment we have Nelson on Vocals; Reno and Tó on Guitars, Nino on Drums and Kláudio on Bass.
We recorded our first demo in June 2003, "Cosmic Fate". This demo was exclusevely released online in our web page: www.karnaketi.tk
We received very good critics from the Portuguese underground, most in webzines.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We played live only once on the first of October 2003, in Liceu High-school - Funchal "ROCK FEST 2003"
Your musical influences
Our musical influences surrounds lots of bands from Heavy-Metal. Such as Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Kreator, Hypocrisy, Death, Amon Amarth, Arcturus, My Dying Bride, Amorphis, Anathema, etc.
And other bands as Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, Jethru Tull, The Doors, Rolling Stones.
