Karma Force
Karma Force is currently a one man band project. Jason Barna writes/plays everything heard in the recordings. The music is influenced with ideas behind music like Nirvana, Alice In Chains, Black Label Society, and Black Sabbath.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Karma Force came about after my disgust of constantly looking for bandmates who never panned out because they lacked the drive ,and commitment that i have.
I started writing the material i have back in 1999-2001 with George Petras & Brandi Graham as Black Death. That slowly disolved ,and became Karma Kast in 2002 with Dave Magnus & Brandi Graham. Brandi slowly faded away from the band ,and Dave couldn't handle the commitment so George stepped back in along with bass player Mark. That didn't last long before Karma Kast formed again with Mike & Leo ,but once again it didn't last long. Finally in 2003 Karma Kast finally made some head way with Aaron Bova and Marshall Campanga in the line up. That formation lasted until 2004 when Aaron and Marshall eventually lost interest in the band.
Fast forward to 2005 when I had joined with Brian Heminger & Josh Houghbaugh in a band called April's Fool. After a few shows some inner turmoil with bandmates and their wives/girlfriends tore the band apart near 2006.
In 2007 I had remade Karma Kast under a new name Short Fuse with Sean Crawford although i had difficulty getting a steady bassist which lead to the dissolve of Short Fuse.
2010 I had rejoined with April's Fool as Achilliez Throne aka NBST with a lead singer Jeff. For different reasons Achilliez Throne didn't pan out & I went to recreate Karma Kast again Dave Magnus, Brian Heminger & Justin Mason came in out of that picture ,but it wasn't until 2011 when Sean Crawford came back into the fold.
With Sean i had rounded up Brian ,and we formed a new version of Karma Kast/April's Fool called 3DS (3 Dicks Singing is what it meant) we were playing a combination of Karma Kast tunes & April's Fool songs. Things were going well until a technical issue ridden show at Triple Tree Salon destroyed ties between Sean & the band.
Late 2011 Brian, Josh ,and I discussed an April's Fool reunion for 2012 ,but certain people couldn't commit so that project never happened.
So due to all this i got sick of waiting for people to get their act together ,and play so i chose to write & record everything myself under the name Karma Force. This is what i'm doing ,and is what intend on doing from now on. I would like to find live musicians so i can play out live.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Not currently although if i could find some live musicians to play the material i have i would love to take the stage.

Amp: Fender 212R Pedals: Digitech Death Metal, Ibanez Chours/Flange, Dunlop Crybaby
Bass: Yahama bass (Brian gave it to me Thanks Brian)
Drums: All drum programming is done with Acoustica Beatcraft
Recording Software: Soundforge ,and Vegas
